Welcome to Introduction to Feminist and Social Justice Studies. This is the twelfth audio episode of the semester-long course for the Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, and Social Justice Studies program at McGill University, taking place in the Fall of 2021.

Today’s episode will focus on:
- Class and labour organizing
- We will talk about growing economic inequality and the feminization of poverty.
- I’ll also discuss the impact of COVID-19 and the concept of a gendered recession or she-cession (though I don’t like that term)
- I’ll introduce the concept of neoliberalism.
- We will talk about capitalism and exploitation.
- The lecture will finish by discussing the role of labour in the university.
